Well folks, I was perfect last week, so let's see if that crystal ball can show the future once again. This should be a really exciting weekend, with some huge matchups in the ACC that just might change the rest of the season. Is Boston College for real? Is Clemson for real? Do Miami or Florida State have an offense? Follow me in and let's find out...

West Virginia at Maryland:
Maryland looked solid against Clemson last week, and with another big crowd, they should prove to be too much for West Virginia. The Mountaineers did not look good at all against Syracuse in the first week, but got back on their feet the next week against Wofford.

West Virginia features two quarterbacks, but neither should be very respective against a tough Maryland defense. The entire game should be a defensive battle, but Terp quarterback Sam Hollenbach and his new go-to-guy Vernon "Duke" Davis should have enough to get by the Mountaineers. Look for it to be a low scoring affair, with Maryland winning something like 16-10 or so.

Virginia at Syracuse:
Syracuse didn't look like they could put up many points in the first week against West Virginia, and I don't think they'll be able to put up many points against a solid Virginia defense. I wouldn't expect them to be able to see the endzone much, and Virginia's running game should be enough to pull out the victory. Syracuse will have to cut down the turnovers and execute inside the redzone to even stand a chance. I think the Cavaliers will run away with this one, 31-14.

VMI at Duke:
Duke is coming off getting absolutely spanked by Virginia Tech, but they should have a little more luck against the Keydets. VMI has had an up and down year so far, with one big win and one big loss. This one is hard to call (it's hard to tell which team is going to screw up more) but I'd like to give the edge to Duke in this game, though I am hardly confident. I'd expect the game to be close, and look for the score to be in the 20's. Maybe 28-24 Blue Devils.

Miami at Clemson:
Miami comes off the bye week after a dismal offensive performance against Florida State in the first game of the year. Sophomore quarterback Kyle Wright has yet to prove he can play in a loud environment, and Clemson is no decibel slouch. Expect a blitzing defense to put pressure on Wright early, and he should struggle. If the Tigers can capitalize on any mistakes, it's their game to win. On the other hand, if the Clemson defense can't key in on the running game of Miami, and Tyrone Moss finds the holes, the Tigers will be on their heels all afternoon. If Miami can establish the running game early, they'll be able to throw the ball late, and Clemson will be in big trouble. Should be a very interesting game, and I think this one should be the best game of the weekend. Clemson's homefield advantage will win them this one, but not a very high-scoring affair: 24-13.

Ohio at Virginia Tech:
Virginia Tech is beginning to build momentum as they've done in the past, and the Bobcats are the tied up damsel in distress lying on the railroad tracks of the train that is the Hokies. This game shouldn't even be close from the beginning, and expect the Hokie defense to dominate again. Ohio should have trouble scoring points all afternoon long, and this game should be an easy one for the Hokies. Look for something like 28-6 or so, Virginia Tech should roll.

Eastern Kentucky at NC State:
Eastern Kentucky has kept their first two games close, but NC State is just in a different class. The Wolfpack should have a field day with this game, and should find themselves having a much easier time than they had with Virginia Tech. Quarterback Jay Davis and Tre"main event" Hall should go to town on a very soft Eastern Kentucky defense. I don't expect this game to even be close, and look for numbers up near 44-10.

East Carolina at Wake Forest:
This should finally be a game that Wake Forest can win, but don't put anything past East Carolina. They looked solid against a Duke team that should have beat them, and there's a chance that they could pull the upset this week. The Demon Deacon defense has been soft in their first two games at best, and even with a solid running game at times, turnovers have killed Wake Forest this year. I think the Pirates can pull the victory this week, after having an off week they should be well rested and should storm into Winston-Salem and come away with a victory. East Carolina pulls it out, 22-14.

Connecticut at Georgia Tech:
Georgia Tech should have another easy game this week, so they should use it to hone their skills as they prepare for big ACC games to come. Uconn was good last year because of their big quarterback, but now that he's gone, they won't be as much of a threat to anyone. The Huskies boast a very good running offense, but they can't throw the ball this year, and with the dominating Yellow Jacket defense focusing entirely on the run, Uconn won't be able to get anywhere. Look for Georgia Tech and their defense to dominate this game, it isn't going to be close. Georgia Tech huge, 60-6.

Wisconsin at North Carolina:
Wisconsin has been rolling along so far and has looked like one of the better teams in the Big Ten. They bring this momentum into Durham to play against a team that looked very good against Georgia Tech last week. Unfortunately for the Heels, they do not have the talent and athletic ability to keep up with these teams, and the Badgers should be able to pull this one out. Don't expect the score to be too huge, but North Carolina just doesn't have the firepower to keep up with Wisconsin. They'll put up a fight, but it won't be enough in the end, and the Badgers will come away with a victory, 25-19.

Florida State at Boston College:
While no one seems to take Boston College seriously, this weekend should finally get them noticed, and should fly them up into the top 10. Florida State has no offense, and Boston College's defense should absolutely dominate them, just like Miami did. The difference is that BC has a better offense, and they should be able to put up many more points on the Noles. The Eagles will finally get their time in the spotlight, and they should impress college football fans across the country. Look for BC to win this one convincingly, 27-13.
