Once again a hurricane has wreaked havoc on the LSU Tigers.  The SEC announced this afternoon that the Tigers home opener, originally scheduled for Saturday, will be postponed until Monday night in hopes of avoiding some of the effects of Hurricane Rita.

"After reviewing all of the information I felt this was the best decision for the game," SEC commissioner Mike Slive said. "The safety of our student-athletes, coaches and fans is our priority. I understand this puts a burden on LSU and its administration, however, the travel safety issues necessitate this decision."

This is the second time a hurricane has postponed an LSU game this season as the original home opener against North Texas was changed from its original September 3rd date.
